A recent shortage in 2011 has driven demand for bulk hydrochloric acid far beyond supply; however, Parchem – fine & specialty chemicals has maintained a competitive edge throughout this shortage.

Parchem – fine & specialty chemicals is proud to announce competitively priced hydrochloric acid is available for immediate shipment in 55 gallon drums, 275 gallon totes, bulk tank trucks and rail cars.

Hydrochloric acid (also known as HCl or Muriatic acid) is used in countless chemical processes that call for reliable pH control and substitution-addition synthesis. As one of the strongest acids, HCl is utilized in a wide variety of applications.

The largest modern demand for hydrochloric acid comes from the production of vinyl chloride for PVC plastic.  This is followed closely by the polyurethane industry, which calls for hydrochloric acid to synthesize aromatic isocyanates.  We see these materials every day in our homes, our cars and our favorite products.
