Parchem – fine & specialty chemicals is proud to offer green chemical alternatives such as Dibutyl Sebacate (DBS). It is primarily used in plastics and pharmaceuticals, but also has applications in the food, beverage, and cosmetics industries.

Dibutyl Sebacate’s primary use is as a plasticizer in the manufacturing of plastics and synthetic rubbers. Like other similar esters, DBS is sometimes used as a flavoring agent in beverages, candies, and ice cream. DBS is also used in the production certain fuels, propellants, and as a lubricant in shaving lotions.
