Natural Benzyl Alcohol [ CAS# 100-51-6 ] is an aromatic alcohol with uses in health care and as a solvent for many chemical synthesis operations. Benzyl Alcohol is found in various medicinal products such as head lice shampoo treatments, as well as a wide range of cosmetic and personal care products.  

Additionally, it is also used in low concentrations as a bacteriostatic preservative for intravenous medicines and topical drugs. Benzyl Alcohol’s polarity and low vapor pressure make it a very widely used solvent. In nanotechnology applications, Benzyl Alcohol is also used as a dielectric solvent in the reconfiguration of nanowires. It has also been shown to be helpful in the synthesis of metal oxides.
