Additionally, calcium chloride is sometimes used as a raw material for swimming pool maintenance as an additive to increase overall water hardness. Furthermore, its use in swimming pools is doubly beneficial as it helps prevent the dissolution of calcium compounds in the concrete that forms the pool’s foundation walls.
