Toluene diisocyanate [CAS 584-84-9] is a specialty chemical intermediate that is used primarily in manufacturing urethane and polyurethane foams. Such foams made with TDI are used all over the world in applications such as construction, home insulation, appliances and transportation manufacturing.
Toluene diisocyanate is a colorless to pale yellow liquid in its natural state and is often supplied commercially as a mixture of its two most common isomers. Parchem is able to supply 2,4-TDI/2,6-TDI in an 80/20 mixture by weight, respectively. Parchem also supplies the 65/35 mixture of the 2,4-TDI/2,6-TDI blend.
