Parchem Team Volunteers at HOPE Community Services 11-14-2013

Parchem – fine & specialty chemicals visited HOPE Community Services this week to help pass out groceries to the local community within New Rochelle.  Every year Parchem donates to HOPE (Help Our People Eat), and today’s visit gave us a first-hand look at the outstanding service that this organization is providing.

Along with providing daily services and hot meals for those in need, HOPE coordinates a large-scale grocery supply day every two weeks.  Working alongside HOPE’s regular staff of volunteers, Parchem team members helped to prepare and hand out over 700 bags of groceries to grateful families from the city of New Rochelle.  “The happiness and gratitude of the people who rely on HOPE Community Services was overwhelming,” noted Sabrina Gaya-Baksh, Logistics Manager for Parchem.  “This organization is doing great things for our community, and I’m thankful to be a part of it.”

In 2012 HOPE passed out over 18,500 bags of groceries, served over 36,000 hot meals, and provided hundreds of hours of social support to the New Rochelle community.  Parchem – fine & specialty chemicals is proud to be a supporter of HOPE;  we are dedicated to serving our customers and our community, and HOPE’s mission of support and community growth is parallel to Parchem’s core values.
