Ephraim Rabin, CEO of Parchem – fine & specialty chemicals, attended the invitation only, high-level meeting on energy security and fuel competition held by the U.S. Energy Security Council on October 15^th, 2013.  The meeting was well attended by cabinet secretaries, business executives and military leaders who had the exclusive opportunity to hear first-hand the U.S. Energy Council’s new report, Fuel and Choice for American Prosperity: Recommendation to the Nation on Opening the Transportation Fuel Market to Competition. The U.S. Energy Security Council is an expert group of government and private sector leaders working to advance policies designed to ensure that new cars sold in the U.S. will be open to fuel competition and that non-petroleum fuels, whether liquids, natural gas or electricity, can compete against oil in a free market environment. The Council includes former Secretaries of Defense, State, Interior, Transportation, Homeland Security, Agriculture, Navy and Air Force, a former Chairman of the Federal Reserve, three former National Security Advisors, Directors of Central Intelligence and National Reconnaissance Office, U.S. Senators, Governors, flag officers, head of companies, and a Nobel Laureate. A few of the noted attendees included: Hon.
