Ephraim Rabin, CEO Parchem fine & specialty chemicals - panelist on Pace University "Career in Science" forum

A highly sought after chemical industry expert, Ephraim Rabin, CEO of Parchem – fine & specialty chemicals was a recent panelist at Pace University’s “Career Opportunities in the Sciences” forum. As a Pace alumnus, Mr. Rabin was honored to continue his relationship with Pace by representing Parchem on the panel.  Additionally, the career forum was a testament to his active relationship with Pace as Parchem provides numerous internships and career opportunities exclusively for Pace students.

The career forum was filled with over 100 students pursuing degrees in biology, chemistry and pre-med.  Joining Mr. Rabin on the panel were other prominent leaders from the pharmaceutical and bio-tech industry such as Boehringer Ingelheim and Accorda Therapeutics. Mr. Rabin gave an overview of Parchem’s various career opportunities and encouraged the students to leverage their assets and explore other lucrative fields to drive their own success.

The feedback and interaction between the students and Mr. Rabin was tremendous. He explained that, in light of the current US job market, it is advantageous for science students everywhere to “leverage their technical expertise in other fields in which they would flourish rapidly and financially, such as technical sales.” The key takeaway from all the panelists was to be nimble and pay attention to the economy and job market demands, not just their declared science majors.
