Methyl Methacrylate (CAS: 80-62-6) is a clear, colorless liquid monomer that is primarily used for the production of Methyl Methacrylate-based plastics called Poly(Methyl Methacrylate) or PMMA.
Although PMMA production accounts for approximately ¾ of its global consumption, MMA is also widely used in many types of sealants & coatings including interior and exterior paint, solvent-based surface coatings, wood coatings, adhesives, paper-coatings, printing ink, and aqueous dispersion coatings (latex).
