Ascorbyl Palmitate [CAS: 137-66-6] is a 16-carbon saturated fatty acid ester that is produced from Ascorbic acid and Palmitic acid. Ascorbyl Palmitate is also known as Vitamin C Palmitate, L-Ascorbic acid 6-hexadecanoate, 6-O-Palmitoylascorbic acid, or by its IUPAC name [(2S)-2-[(2R)-4,5-Dihydroxy-3-oxo-2-furyl]-2-hydroxy-ethyl] hexadecanoate.
