Parchem now offers Glycerine 99.7% USP. Glycerine or glycerol, (CAS 56-81-5) is a polyol compound that is colorless, odorless liquid that is non-toxic and has a sweet taste. It is the foundation for many lipids which are known as glycerides. We also offer Glycerine in Kosher and organic grades.

Glycerine has a wide range of uses. In the food industry it is commonly used in various foods and beverages as a sweetener, a humectant, and when mixed with water it is used to preserve certain types of plant leaves. In the pharmaceutical and personal care industry it is used as a way of improving smoothness and providing lubrication. Glycerine can be found in cough syrups, elixirs and expectorants, toothpaste, mouthwashes, skin care products, shaving cream, hair care products, soaps, and water-based personal lubricants. One of the most recent uses found for it is in electronic cigarettes to create the vapor.
