Notes | This carboxylic acid is vital to industry. It is used heavily in the production of textiles, particularly nylon. The production of nylon comes from a reaction with hexamethylene diamine, also supplied by Parchem. Adipic acid can also be found in the production of foods as a flavoring agent to add tartness. It is an emulsifier for Drilling Muds and Fluids as well. It maintains the viscosity of the drilling mud and prevents fluid loss. Click here for more Drilling Fluid Additives!
