Polysorbate 80 is used in food and beverage products as an emulsifying agent which binds components together that normally do not mix well.  Polysorbate 80 is found in a number of dairy products such as ice cream, whipped cream, and various other desserts.  It is one of many additives found in food products that contribute to the consistency and texture of the final product.
