Ethyl 3-Ethoxypropionate [CAS# 763-69-9] is readily available for supply from Parchem – fine & specialty chemicals. Also known as EEP, it is a widely used ether-ester compound that has a large number of applications in multiple industries. It has a slow evaporation rate, a good resistance to solvent “popping” in baking applications, favorable surface tension, a high electrical resistance, and a propionyl group in its center, giving this compound a unique combination of properties based on its structure. Primarily, EEP is used as a solvent in the production of a wide range of coating polymers, resins, and many other compounds. Along with this, Ethyl 3-Ethoxypropionate is also used in the production of certain cleaning solutions, inks, and dyes.

On Thursday evening, General Manager Patricia Turcan and Sr. Technical Sales Specialist Kristen DePersia attended the New York Society of Cosmetic Chemists’ 6th Annual Culinary Event at the Midtown Loft & Terrace in New York City. Industry professionals including raw material suppliers and R&D chemists joined together to prepare and enjoy a variety of dishes.
